about a flower.

a very old poem that i wrote back in 1994 for Sonja Rajin from Belgrade, Serbia, Claudia Pramono from Jakarta, Indonesia, Sabrina Geissler, Germany, EU and Florence Gadeyne, France, EU. whom i met all four, later in my life, personally.

Claudia in Jakarta, Sonja and Florence in London, at Suede’s final show in London’s ICA, the Institute of Contemporary Arts, as they gad called that venue. In that very week, Suede played all Tracks from their first 5 albums: Suede, Dog Man Star, Coming Up, Head Music, A New Morning, in chronological order, one for each day. It was awesome. We have even met the band after the show, one day. Only Sabrina i have met again, later, as she was living nearby.

Our Band’s called Suede, of Brett Anderson and Richard Oakes, Mat Osman, Neil Codling, and Simon Gilbert, the drummer, and it was my favourite back then im time. Sabrina i met near the place, where i lived, at her own birthday’s party where i was taken by a friend. Paderborn, Riemekeviertel. The Street i lived within then was called Bernhard-K-Street, at Nr. 91. 5 guys studying information theory had rented 1 family house. Looking back, That was a really amazing time.

..

What a great, what a great Party time that was. In being so utterly lonely, Information Theory nerds, you know, we invited about all Students from that very Town we knew, literally. It didn’t help me to get some woman, at all. So when i met your mother, Lukas, years gone by bye, at WestFriedHof, near SWM HQ, StadtWerke Munich, where i’ve been working for Town’s infrastructure, my deputy. ‘Miss you so much. Cu, in due t, ‘Sir. U2.

When i met your mother, we went to a Depeche Mode concert, in Olympiastadion.

Dave Gahan, Andrew Fletcher, and Sir Martin Gore.

..

we were founding a family, back then.

Depeche Mode, Munich, Olympique Stadium. 13.06.2009.

on that very day, that was how i met your mother, young guy.

and that was all right, small Pirate’s child. To found a family, that was alright.

..

miss you so much, my little sun .. @mydarkstar .., your father.

..

so anyway, just in case anyone should ever find this very lonely written, fine page in the large, deep blue sea of what we call The Internet some day, here’s that poem, back from 1994. One of my first ever attempts in writing.

enjoy.

You Don’t Want to Build All Models from Scratch, Do You?

This is a very interesting article by Wang Zhao about fundamental blocks of System Dynamics archetypes in elaborated detail, posted by @YoungModeler.

For everyone new to the topic, a simple overview of the basic feedback loops that are common to Business Model Generation as well can be found on Wikipedia’s article about System Archetypes. As well, the basic picture of those interacting Problems-and-Success Models can be found within each Dynamic Application.

Building World Models, altogether. A great topic to discuss.

I found that management picutre on German Wikipedia, translated the picture to English, called it “Balanced Scorecard – Management”, and added that picture to the top right icons in Dynamic Applications. Finally, i’ve uploaded it to the english article on System Archetypes at Wikipedia. Where it resides until today.

How could such archetypes or “building blocks” be incorporated with Dynamic Applications? – your suggestions are highly appreciated.

For everyone interested in more detailed building blocks, see PDF Attachment at the bottom of the article by @YoungModeler, reblogged below.

Modellers face a problem: Too few of their models ever get reused. Meanwhile, many projects start by building a new model from scratch requiring plenty of research to conceptualize the model structure. If we see these two aspects from the perspective of ‘supply’ and ‘demand’, is there any ‘mismatch’ in between that hinders models from reuse? If so, what could be the reason?

a Pursuance Platform for worldwide collaboration ?.

Interesting idea of founding a network of people supporting each other in working for or towards a better world for everyone, as i understand it.

In the ages of rage and fake news, has a lot of potential.
Seems to be in line with the Ethics or Culture of The Sharing Economy.

Find joy, fun, and a small income by working for the people, not the bank account. In being founders, this also means that we have to work ourselves up from crap, towards beauty and reduction and excellence. There’s so many powerful tools out there, but only the best ones get the point of finding a measure for excellence, not massivity of overloading features.

If we want to reach many people, remember there are more than 4.000.000.000 people out there who haven’t even got the money for an old Laptop or PC. Maybe the greatest potential of enthusiastic followers in the whole world, not only for a process democracy project.

So i’m not sure if i follow that project 100% here, but it seems to have something.
Be invited to make up your own mind about it. Would be great to hear a few opinions.

Let’s not forget in being base democrats, our mission is to empower the people, not the next king of the world. We the people, united in online democracy, with a same value of 1 for every person on earth. Fair right of participation, as a basic requirement for justice and chances for a successful life, in all its decent modesty. Sharing is Caring.

If we follow that guideline, all is fine. Nothing is perfect today, but we are targeting something, here: a better world for everyone. So what are you working on, today?

The Pursuance Project – Impactful, agile, secure civic collaboration

The pursuance system is the world’s first comprehensive framework for process democracy. That is, it allows individuals with no prior relationship to self-organize into robust, agile entities governed via a “proceduralism of agreement.” These entities, called pursuances, in turn engage and collaborate among themselves to whatever extent they choose, leading ultimately to a vast and formidable ecosystem of opposition to institutionalized injustice. (Excerpt from Project description)

This system will be populated on an invitation basis, beginning towards the end of 2017. But Barrett has initiated a collaboration with Pirate Parties InternationalRaymond Johansen, activist and member of the board of PPI is now in the process of populating several rooms in Mattermost, soon to begin onboarding people into an alpha version of the Pursuance System. PPI’s usage of and feedback on the software will help Pursuance’s software developers…

Was mich immer wieder begeistert: unser Sohn versteht das. Einfach so.

Also unser Sohn findet das schon mal gut.

“Kinder brauchen Regeln”, hört man oft.

is it selfish to donate?

Foreword.

interesting thoughts here. would anyone be interested in a public list of donators on the website? – with Dynamic Applications, it would have to be fully automated, or it won’t work out in the long run (with 99 ct donations). There’s probably a way to allow everyone donating to enter their Website and Name if they want, but if you do it like that, it’s really more like “selling a back-link for a donation” for interested parties…

As for myself, i think the key driver for me to publish my work as freeware (also a kind of donation or contribution, isn’t it?)

It is really the wish to do something reasonable or senseful and find confidence myself in being a provider or “builder” of something useful. So my lifetime was not all wasted. So, i wish to provide something really useful, but at the same time stay private. It’s definitely not a rock-star thing. I love the fact to have thousands of downloads from all over the world (virtual fame), but at the same time just walk out of the door here in this small village, and my neighbor or the people next street never visited my website and treat me just as the guy they’ve seen around who’s living somewhere next door. So that everything stays normal, in a way.

from my perspective, it’s an inventor thing. There’s rockstars and then there’s also inventors, amd i’m not saying rockstars won’t work hard for their success as well. I think there’s a difference in motivation or basic need. Apart from that, as for the key question, here at Dynamic Applications, we’re so happy about a donator, that i’d rather say the 999 others are selfish, if at all. We offer everyone to pay with a Tweet. And from my perspective, that personal recommendation may be worth much more (since 2016, 10 thousands of people from all over the world have recommended, faved or retweeted us). Just my 2 ct.

decluttering my life

charity shop

Can we give without the expectation of compensation for this action?   After my very first donation at the nearby charity shop, I caught myself thinking „I have contributed to the community so I am to be praised for covering these opportunity costs”.     Am I a hypocrite fallen angel? After investigating the issue, I am relieved that even philosophers have contemplated about the existance of pure unselfishness.

Being socialized in a secular society I looked for factual evidence to justify my shameful narcissism. According to the scientific approach the way our own brain is wired is responsible for our unique personalities and preferences. Our decision-maker centers consist of neurons  incorporating the wisdom of the whole evolutionary process. Individuals willing to come together and meet the needy’s necessity definitely have contributed to the survival of the species. Here roots the reasons charitable giving activates the pleasure center of our brains.
