Perfect Desire – automated Data Transfer.
Apart from being a simple and interactive Business Plan solution,
Perfect Desire is also an Enterprice Resource Planning environment for the 21st century Startup or Small Business owner.
All simulation models that you can load and save from within Dynamic Applications support a state-of-the-art file format for System Dynamics simulations that is called XMILE, an international standard for System and Business Dynamics Simulations.
And so, with Dynamic Applications, we can simulate about any amount of data from past towards present, from present towards future, or from past towards future in a simple way. So we’re just mentioning this for the Pro customers who want to go beyond.
You are always invited to import, export and convert our XML-based File Format. It’s based on a common standard, and any rare changes will be published in Release Notes for your information.
So you are invited to create professional financial calculations in x / y / t for your specific customer. We also support for Re-branding and Targeting customers to your specific, derived Platform. In the standard, your customers will be able to create Simulations that will run on any other Dynamic Application, from any Dynamic Application.
However, with very small effort it is possible to let your Simulation Models run on your personal, re-targeted platform.

Where BigData software is looking backwards at huge, rottening data piles from past, we prefer to look forward.

The problem we see with Data Warehouse construction is that it sounds good, but in almost all cases it results in a Jack of all Trades solution. A typcial Big Data Warehouse for everything in theory. And nothing works out in practice.
So we’ve reversed that approach.
It’s much like Strategy and Tactics in Chess.
So while other people are memorizing books on Chess openings for the perfect next move, at Dynamic Applications, we prefer to start from present and just look forward.
We weigh all options and decide for the best possible Target, the best possible way to go.
It’s just so that The Meaning of the Past is that it allows us to learn from Experience.
And so, we support it, as well. Not that it’s that important as some Big Data Companies keep telling you. As far as Dynamic Applications and Perfect Desire are concerned, it doesn’t really matter whether you start in past or present. It’s just labels on a Toolbar, you know.
You can use a simulation from past to present to test your formula system’s performance. So if your simulation gives good results in Simulations from Past to Present, you can be pretty sure that the Target Formula System you’ve defined will be good for any simulation from Present to The foreseeable Future, as we say here. 5 to 10 years, maximum.
As a basis for our own automated, Smart Data Transfer, we use the Method of ETL.
ETL means Extract, Transform and Load in a software product.
Through graphical data transfer, you’ll be able to understand what happens, and so the customer can verify the data transfer without having to read the code. An ETL product brings a number of input formats, like, XML, Excel, a few WebService Standards, and lots of common Databases, supports about the same number of output interfaces, and allows for a graphical transfer of data between databases and file formats. And so, you can very well use it to automatically fill in all those data rows from past that you may desire it to fill into Dynamic Applications.
We prefer to use Altova MapForce with Dynamic Applications, as it’s relatively powerful, yet easy to operate, and it comes at a good price. And so, instead of building huge, oversized Data Warehouses, at Dynamic Applications, we prefer to transfer just the data between the customer databases that we need for a certain simulation. It’s much like decoupling the whole network. And so, we can transfer just the data we want, and every application can keep its own dataset. In effect, because it knows about its own data’s meaning, we avoid a lot of problems that come with BigData warehousing, by concept.
